About Us

I’m Josh, and I’m one of the luckiest guys in the world...I think.  I was born in Coffeyville, KS (you can’t have it all) and lived there for most of my early child life.  My dad’s job moved me around to fine vacation spots such as Troy, MI and Laurinburg, NC, but ultimately landed me right back into the metropolis of Coffeyville, KS.  Moving wasn’t bad, and definitely kept me out of my mother’s dresses.  I moved away from home in an attempt to get educated...and failed.  So I decided the only logical next step in life was to tell my parents I was gay and move to Tulsa, OK.  I eventually realized that I was gradually blending into the gay population (late night drinking, parties, hair color, etc.) so I did go back to college part time at Oklahoma State University—Tulsa.  I graduated on December 15th, 2007 (FINALLY) with my Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing!!!!  I re-located to Pittsburg, KS to live with my partner, Patrick.  Shortly after that move, I became employed as a Branch Manager in Joplin, MO.  That in turn made us decide to go ahead and re-locate to Joplin as well.

My name is Patrick.  I was born a poor black child in Pinehurst, NC and grew up there until I went away to college at East Carolina University (also in NC).  After I graduated from there with my degree in Vocal Performance I moved to the very cold and snowy city of Rochester, NY where I earned my Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music.  Following my stay in Rochester, I moved to Hartford, CT where I worked as an apprentice with the Connecticut Opera.  I moved to Kansas in 2005 in order to help my friend Jessie when her husband Brian passed away.  I have been here ever since and currently am an Instructor of Voice and Opera at Pittsburg State University.  I love music of just about any kind, but opera, Broadway and pop are my favorite.  I am obsessed with old movies (black and white) and all things old school “gay” (you know..Judy, Liza, Joan, Bette, etc).  I love my boyfriend Josh tons and am so glad he moved to live with me!
